Access MBA One-to-One Tour in Athens»
European University (EU) is one of the worldΒ΄s top business schools recognized for the excellence of its students and faculty. EU is accredited by ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs), a CHEA recognized accrediting body.
Established in 1973, EU has developed a business education that delivers high quality teaching, a competitive learning environment and a network of several campuses in different countries. This broad network encourages students to participate in inter-campus exchanges in the following countries: Spain, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Austria, Turkey, Syria, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan.
EU offers the traditional programs of Bachelor and Master of Business Administration (BBA & MBA), and also the possibility to specialize in 10 different fields of management education such as Business Administration, Communication & Public Relations, Leisure & Tourism Management, Global Banking & Finance, Sports Management, Entrepreneurship and E-Business.
The first goal of EU is to bring the American education model to Europe by relating classroom theory to professional skills. The courses are taught in English using the case study method to prevent business theory from remaining abstract and incomprehensible. The second goal of EU is to internationalize its programs by providing a unique environment. An international perspective is guaranteed by the composition of the faculty and student body.
EU offers education that is pragmatic, student-oriented, flexible and personal. All courses are taught by qualified faculty members with a wealth of practical experience in their fields. EU faculty works with students on an individual basis to create a cooperative and caring learning environment where human values flourish.
EU cooperates with partner universities such as Nichols College in Boston, MA to deliver intensive BBA and MBA studies that allow students to obtain 2 degrees simultaneously from internationally accredited business schools.
ACCESS MBA One-to-One Tour in Athens
Wednesday, November 25
The number of MBA applicants in the world continues to rise. Offering prospective MBA candidates the opportunity to meet face to face with the world’s top international business schools, the Access MBA One-to-One Tour is a unique and effective way to find the right MBA.
Market Trends: the Right Time to Get an MBA
Amidst the faltering economy over the past two years, business school applications and investments have soared.Β While employment security is down and the job market is tight, manyΒ business executives are taking advantage of the downturn to invest in their careers.
Many career-minded individuals are opting to strengthen their professional profile while the economy is preparing its recovery. According to the Graduate Management Admission Council’s (GMAC) 2009 report on MBA application trends, 69% of one-year Full-Time MBA programs increased their application volumes this year. MBA application volume is at its highest level, and Part-Time and Distance Learning MBA programs also have experienced a greater total applications. Meanwhile, company investments in top-level Executive MBA programs for their employees have stagnated.
“Despite (or perhaps because of) the recession,Β we have seen not only an increase inΒ the number of applications for our Full-time MBA this year, in particular applications from the UK and Europe which are up 60 per cent, but also an increase in the quality,” reports SΓ©an Rickard, Director of Admissions at the Cranfield School of Management.
In general, the return on investment is high for candidates who earn their MBA at top international business schools. The latest GMAC Alumni Survey shows that a graduate business education yields impressive returns: 80% of MBA graduates who attained a new job after graduation indicated they “could not have obtained that job without a graduate management degree.”
Helping Candidates to Choose the Right MBA
On the Access MBA Tour, qualified professionals are given the chance to meet with business school representatives in private One-to-One meetings and small group workshops. In addition, Access MBA advisors at the event help orient candidates towards the business schools that match their criteria. This personalized orientation and the individualized discussions with Admissions Officers differentiate Access MBA from other MBA fair organizers. “The One-to-OneΒ meetings are proven to advance candidates in their decision-making process during the event. This is more valuable than basing an MBA program choice on brochures or rankings” says Christophe Coutat, Founder of the Access MBA Tour in 2004.
“We are convinced of the value of the Access MBA 1-2-1 events as we are consistently presented with high-quality candidates who fit our programme and our recruitment goals; many more than we would normally meet at a traditional fair event and with better profiles and motivation,” says Helen Dowd, Admissions Director at Manchester Business School. The school, ranked in the top 20 worldwide, participates in the Access MBA Tour year upon year.
Participating Schools
The Access MBA Tour includes over 100 prestigious business schools that are accredited and internationally ranked. Participating schools in the Athens event include ALBA, AUEB, Copenhagen Business School, Duke University - Fuqua, Hult International Business School, IE Business School, International Hellenic University, London School of Business and Finance, Manchester Business School, Manchester Worldwide, SDA Bocconi and The American College of Greece.
